Two BJP MPs injured namely Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput during a tussle by the opposition in Parliament on 19th December 2024. The two siblings were initially admitted at Delhi’s RML Hospital before they were transferred to Kailash Hospital in Noida for advanced treatment. What Happened in Parliament?
There are reports that a fisticuff occurred between BJP and Congress party members in the parliament recently. In the heat of the moment, the MPs fell by the way side panting and gasping for breath, both of them sustained injuries and required the attention of a doctor. They were taken to RML Hospital when doctors managed them.
Pratap Sarangi’s Injuries
Pratap Sarangi, who represents Odisha, suffered multiple injuries.
- Head injury: He was hit on the head during the scuffle.
- Eye injury: His left eye is affected, causing blurry vision.
- Overall health: He feels dizzy and uncomfortable.
Mukesh Rajput’s Injuries
Mukesh Rajput, the MP from Uttar Pradesh, also faced serious injuries.
- Head and neck injuries: He has pain in the back of his head and neck.
- Lower back pain: The pain spreads to his legs, making movement difficult.
- Nerve issues: He feels tingling and numbness in his legs.
Shift to Kailash Hospital
On December 23, both MPs were moved to Kailash Hospital in Noida for advanced treatment. Dr. Shrikant Sharma, the hospital director, shared updates on their condition.
- For Pratap Sarangi: Doctors are conducting tests like MRI and CT scans to check his head and eye injuries.
- For Mukesh Rajput: His back and nerve problems are being carefully examined. Physiotherapy has started to ease his pain.
Current Treatment
Doctors are working hard to help both MPs recover.
• They are checking body temperatures and performing scans to be able to get more information about the inflicted harm.
• Sarangi is being treated for headaches and whatever was affecting his eye.
• Rajput is receiving physiotherapy and medicines for the pain relief and nerve treatment.
Recovery Time
Both MPs are showing improvement but will stay in the hospital for a few more days. Doctors hope they can go home in 4-5 days if their condition keeps improving.
