Ex girlfriend of Bollywood bad boy Salman Khan Somy Ali spoke about the rising death threats made to him in an interview . In an attempt to advocate for non-violence, Ali challenged gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to talk to her on a Zoom call, using dialogue instead of arguing.
A Call for Dialogue
Somy Ali was also alarmed at the rising threats within the filmdom and welcomed when such threats was paid to Salman. I did not wish to continue hate which has been on for long, I wanted to support peace and major steps towards reaching consensus. She emphasized the fact that a lot has shifted in the industry from the early 90s but condemn that safety has always been an issue especially to women.
Personal Experiences of Unease
All to the backdrop of reminiscing, Ali narrated an eigen experience that occurred in mid- march in the same year. While shooting at Mumbai based SeaRock Hotel with actress Sridevi, they were quickly moved from there after getting the eerie message. The hotel was attacked a few days later a sign that safety within the hotel industry is not very far herein.
Empowering Stories Through Film
Now for her work, Somy Ali is also an activist for peace now she has started her own film production company Somy Ali Productions. She wants to inspire the tell meaningful stories that will give voice to the oppressed. “It is inspiration to me thinking of using film as a tool to portray great, complicated roles especially of women and va,Frequently, LGBTQ+ characters.”

Somy is an enthusiast performer who has dedicated herself to offer a chance for a newcomer in the industry. She definitely supports telling stories about survival, and perseverance, and fairness for all, inspired by No More Tears, an organization she aids in the enforcing of helping in abusive cases.
Somy Ali may have left Bollywood, but she is willing to come back and start more important dialogues to create a change for better environments for women through encouraging other women and supporting them.
